Excessive Sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is when the body produces more sweat than normal without being triggered by exercise or heat. It can affect the whole body, but is common on the hands, feet, and underarms. Although it is not usually the sign of a severe illness or condition, it can cause social and physical discomfort. Causes include genetics, medical conditions such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, menopause, certain infections, and neurological conditions, or medications, including some antidepressants and blood pressure medications.
