Are the weight loss injections effective?
There is now significant research that shows how effective the slimming injections Mounjaro and Wegovy are for weight loss. For instance, one clinical trial of Mounjaro patients found that after 40 weeks of being on the highest dose, over 84% of patients had lost more than 5% of their body weight. Furthermore, over 50% of patients had lost over 10% of their body weight. Similarly, one clinical trial of Wegovy patients found that after 28 weeks, 89% of patients achieved a weight loss of over 5% of their body weight.
How does the weight loss injection work?
Wegovy works by binding to GLP-1 receptors in the body. As a result, it makes you feel more full and less hungry. Likewise, Mounjaro works by binding to GLP-1 receptors; however, it also binds to GIP receptors to achieve the same goal of reducing your appetite.
